| 2008-03-16 | ly2kw | That was a great experience. My first event cache ever. Enjoyed meeting so many geocachers at one place. Sorry I could not complete the task, so needed the final "hint". It was so much fun talking to you fellows. I did some more caching on Sunday. My pocket PC died all of a sudden about an hour into caching, so I got only left with wayponts in the GPS. Estonian crew "found me" at the railway station near the internet stand. The last found was Talsu iela 1, I had some 20 minutes to get to the last bus to Vilnius, decided to cut it short and make it fast. Got stopped by cops for riding on "sarkana gaisma". I wasn't given a ticket after showing them my ID and explaining the situation. Got to the bus just in time. The driver said he would not take my bicycle, but finally he agreed. Made it home by midnight. I am a bit behind my schedule, will post more and log the Riga finds within the next few days. Many thanks to Raimis and all the attendees for fun and hospitality. |
